Mark has been extremely passionate about sports and classic cars for a shade over thirty years.
From early days looking out the back window of his Dad's sports car for blue lights as it raced down from rural Perthshire to Silverstone where Alastair Ford-McNicol raced in Formula Ford - to later years doing the Hong Kong to Beijing Rally - he enjoys the thrill of good fast cars.
And starting some thirty years ago when he took ownership of his first Porsche the pleasure of running and enjoying the air cooled 911 has continued to fuel this passion.
He counts himself particularly lucky in having owned a few cars and variants from the RUF 944 S2, 928 S4, through 911 3.0 SC, 911 3.2, 911 964, 911 993, 911 996, 911 997, 991-50, 911 Turbo and 911 GT3 allowing him great insight into the marque and their maintenance.
Today he still competes on a friendly basis in Historic Rallies in China, Asia and Europe.
